宋韵雅博士荣获香港研资局“人文学及社会科学杰出学者计划”嘉奖
Dr Céline Yunya Song Awarded the RGC Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme
早前香港研究资助局公布2021/22年度“人文学及社会科学杰出学者计划”评选结果，中美中心2006级证书项目校友、香港浸会大学新闻系副教授宋韵雅博士荣获嘉奖。
The Research Grants Council (RGC) in Hong Kong earlier announced the winners of the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme (HSSPFS) of the academic year 2021/22. Dr Céline Song, graduated from certificate program in the class of 2006 in HNC, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism, Hong Kong Baptist University, was bestowed the award.
“人文学及社会科学杰出学者计划”由香港研究资助局拨款，旨在表彰人文学及社会科学领域杰出学者，给予学者延长补假和所需拨款，使他们能够专注于研究工作及撰写研究报告。宋博士有幸成为香港2021/22年度获奖人之一。
Funded by RGC, HSSPFS aims at granting extended time-off and supporting funds to exceptional investigators in humanities and social sciences disciplines to enable them to focus on research work and writing. Dr Song was one of the awardees across Hong Kong for 2021/22.
宋博士的获奖项目题为“融合媒体时代的网络化架构：探究美国、英国和中国的传统媒体和社交媒体上关于气候变化的讨论”。该项目运用前沿的数据挖掘技术，并结合传统的社会科学研究方法，考察社交媒体和传统媒体间的议题流动和相应的框架争夺、共鸣与扩散 ，深入检视不同媒介和内容产制者如何影响对气候问题的理解。此前，宋博士曾获颁2019/20年度研资局–富布莱特香港资深学人奖，前往康奈尔大学开展中美两国关于气候变化网络舆论的相关研究。
Dr Song’s funded project is entitled “Networked Framing in the Age of Hybrid Media: Legacy Media Coverage of and Social Media Conversations About Climate Change in the US, UK, and China”. It combines advanced data mining techniques and traditional social science approaches to examine how the discursive fields across various types of media and content sources have come to shape public understanding of climate issues. The research builds on her study of the popular online opinions about climate change in the U.S. and China, for which she received the Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Senior Research Scholar Award in 2019/20.
宋博士现任香港浸会大学新闻系副教授（终身教职）、传理与影视学院人工智能与媒体研究实验室主任、博士与研究式研究生项目负责人。她同时担任《传播与社会》学刊编辑，以及《Quality and Quantity》、《Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia》的副主编。她还是国际中华传播学会 (CCA)、美国新闻与大众传播教育学会（AEJMC）大众传播与社会组评奖委员会主席。她的研究领域横跨全球传播、计算传播学、计算机媒介网络、社交媒体分析、网络心理学及用户行为研究。
An associate professor in the Department of Journalism at Hong Kong Baptist University, Dr Song is also the Director of the School of Communication and Film’s Artificial Intelligence and Media Research Lab, and the Director of the School’s Research Postgraduate Studies Program. She is the editor of Communication & Society and the associate editor of Quality and Quantity, and Journal of Contemporary Eastern Asia. She serves as the Award Chair of Chinese Communication Association and the Mass Communication and Society Division of AEJMC. Her research cuts across global communication, social computing, computer-mediated networks, digital media, cyber-psychology and behavior.
